A lovingly restored 1950s timber cabin on the quiet shore of lake Lillsjön, ten minutes from Siljansnäs village in Dalarna. The lodge sleeps four across two cosy bedrooms and keeps its original log walls, wood-burning stove and hand-built furniture — now paired with a modern kitchen, fast Wi-Fi and a wood-fired lakeside sauna. Swim or row out from the private jetty in summer, ski Granberget in winter, and end every day with a fire by the water. The restaurants of Leksand and Tällberg are a 20-minute drive away, and the train from Stockholm reaches Leksand in under three hours.
We are Elsa & Henrik — this cabin has been in our family for three generations, and we restored it ourselves over two long winters. We live across the lake, so help is never far away, and we usually reply to messages within the hour. We love sharing our favourite corners of the Siljan area, so do ask.
A really peaceful few days. The cabin was spotless, the beds incredibly comfortable, and the lake view at sunrise was something else. The welcome guide made settling in easy. One small thing: the path down to the water gets slippery after rain. We'll be back!
The cabin is even more beautiful than the photos. We rowed out on the lake every morning and had the sauna going every night. Elsa and Henrik thought of everything.

Great base for exploring Dalarna. Cabin had everything we needed. Only small note: bring your own firewood supply for longer stays — or order the firewood package, which we discovered too late.

Lillsjö Lodge is rented as a self-catering holiday home for the booked dates and number of guests. The booking is personal and may not be transferred or sublet. Guests are liable for damage beyond normal wear and tear; please report anything broken right away — accidents happen and honesty is appreciated. Arrival from 15:00, departure by 11:00 unless agreed otherwise. The house rules on this page are part of these terms.
We only use your contact details to handle your booking and stay: confirmations, check-in instructions and practical messages. We never sell or share your data with third parties beyond what is needed to process your payment. After your stay we keep booking records only as long as bookkeeping rules require.
